Students across the Olathe district stepped up and donated pocket change in an effort to help end world hunger. During the week of April 14-18, Olathe students had the opportunity to donate quarters to the Olathe Food Services Change Our World: Fight Against Global Hunger - One Quarter At A Time" campaign.

Jason Young, a senior at Olathe North High School, has been named a Gates Millennium Scholar in a national scholarship competition. The scholarship supports the cost of post-secondary education by covering unmet need and self-help. It is a renewable scholarship as long at the recipient maintains satisfactory academic progress.
