School Resource Officers recognition Two School Resource Officers were recognized for being an integral part of the safety and security of Olathe schools. Pictured are Manager of Safety and Security Rick Castillo, Board of Education member Shannon Wickliffe, Officer Andy Falcon, Officer Steven Sebasto, Sergeant John Roland and Interim Superintendent Patricia All. Falcon will be returning to the patrol division of the Olathe Police Department and Sebasto will be a detective in the department.
Olathe South championship softball team The Olathe South High School softball team won the 6A state championship title this spring. The team is pictured with Board of Education member Shannon Wickliffe, Interim Superintendent Patricia All, Coach Matthew Bohm, Assistant Principal Matt Johnson and Director of Athletic and Activities Tim Brady. This was a back-to-back state title for Olathe South softball.
Olathe East championship girls track team The Olathe East High School girls track and field team won the 6A state championship title for the sixth time in school history. The team was accompanied by Coach Michael Wallace, Principal Kerry Lane, and Assistant Principal Amanda Faunce.
Olathe South individual track champs

Several track and field athletes from Olathe South High School won 6A individual titles. They included Cameron Waldo in the 400m, Jacquelyn Darby in the 100m and 200m, Riley Degner, Grace Williams, Breanna Weiss and Jacquelyn Darby in the 4x100m relay, and Ammanuel Okwuone, Tred Adger, Cameron Waldo and Jared Reinke in the 4x400m relay. They were accompanied by Coach Matthew Bohm and Assistant Principal Matt Johnson.
