Alumni AssociationThe Executive Committee of the Olathe Alumni Association, with assistance from the Olathe School Distrct, is reorganizing the alumni association. During the 2005-06 and 2006-07 school years, this core group of alumni organized focus groups and invited graduates from all years to participate in a discussion of the future of the organization and how it might benefit graduates and be connected with their schools. The district's Community Development Office and the Olathe Public Schools Foundation will work with the Executive Committee to provide staff assistance as needed, now and in the future, to manage alumni date for directories, invest for ongoing scholarships, and assist class presidents with reunion planning or other tasks. The association will hold an open house from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 900 S. Honeysuckle Dr., Olathe. A dance begins at 7 p.m. that evening. Alumni and guests are welcome for a $10 cover charge.
