Olathe District Spelling Bee Winner
Feb. 9, 2012 ~ Vanya Shivashankar, Regency Place Elementary School fifth-grader, won the Olathe District Spelling Bee Thursday, Feb. 9. Shivashankar (pictured) will go on to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee the week of May 27 in Washington, D.C. Pleasant Ridge Elementary School fourth-grader Srikar Munukutla came in second place. This year, 44 students took part in the bee.
