Pre-Enrollment Readies Kindergartners for School
Jan. 7, 2013 ~ Kindergarten Round-Up for the 2013-14 class of kindergarten students will begin at the end of February. Each elementary school will hold kindergarten enrollment on a specific day, Feb. 25 through March 1.
By Kansas law, children who turn 5 years old on or before Aug. 31, 2013, are eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall.
Kindergarten Round-Up offers kindergartners and their parents a peek inside their school and is the official enrollment time for kindergartners. There will be no regular kindergarten classes in session on a school’s round-up day. Parents or guardians should bring a certified copy of the child's birth certificate and immunization records.
