Graduation Heads Outdoors for 2017

May 22, 2017 ~ For the first time in years, Olathe seniors accepted their diplomas on May 21 in outdoor graduation ceremonies. Thousands of family members and friends packed into the district stadiums that afternoon and evening to watch their graduates cross the stage.

This year nearly 1,980 Olathe seniors graduated from four high schools. Those outstanding students were offered more than $51.5 million in scholarships.

Although the district's fifth high school, Olathe West, will open this fall, it will not host a senior class until the 2018-19 school year. The district's Hawks, Eagles, Ravens and Falcons alums will be joined by Owls in May 2019. All seniors are encouraged to share their contact information with the Olathe Public Schools Alumni Association via an online form at http://www.olatheschools.com/community2/alumni/directory-update. This will help the association and reunion planners stay in touch with recent grads.
