Board Recognizes Alums on Wall of Honor

Oct. 6, 2017 ~ The Olathe Board of Education met Oct. 5 to officially recognize the newest inductees into the Olathe Public Schools Alumni Association Wall of Honor and conduct its regular monthly business.

Prior to the recognition, board members heard a presentation about end-of-course assessments for career and technical education students in the district. Career and Technical Education Coordinator Barbra Gonzalez updated the board on how these exams are utilized in the district.

The exams are given online and can be taken in a typical 50-minute class period. The assessment reports provide valuable information to students and teachers because the exams are based on standards for all national career clusters.
